The National Archives holds vital Australian Government records and makes them available to the public.

View exhibitions and attend talks on a variety of topics relating to Western Australia’s history. 

View original records from the National Archives of Australia and get advice on research, with staff on hand to assist. Requests to view records should be made at least one week before your planned visit.

The Research Centre is open Tuesday to Thursday 9.30am to 4.30pm for viewing original records. 

The exhibition area and inquiries desk are open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm. Entry to the National Archives is free.
