Anyone can join and borrow from the City of Perth Library. Make sure you bring your City of Perth Library card with you to borrow items.

To renew or reserve items visit the Library catalogue. You will need your library card number and PIN to access your library account.
Items can be renewed up to three times if the items are not overdue and have not been requested by someone else.
You can reserve items that are on loan or on the shelf. Reserve items in person, over the phone or through the Library catalogue.
Your Library card must be presented for all City of Perth Library transactions. If you think your Library card has been lost or stolen, please let us know as soon as possible to avoid fraudulent use. Replacement cards are available for a nominal fee when we have confirmed your identity.
Want to borrow from the Library but can’t visit due to illness, injury or a disability?
If you are a resident of the City of Perth and are permanently or temporarily housebound, we can deliver Library items to you.This is a free service for residents of the City of Perth’s local government area. We visit regularly and can make the selection for you.

If the item you need is not listed in the City of Perth Library catalogue we can attempt to borrow the item on your behalf from another library on inter-library loan. Request an inter-library loan in person, over the phone or through the Library catalogue.
