Little Green Thumb Workshops

Get your gardening gear on for the City’s Little Green Thumb Workshops in Forrest Place.

Featuring various garden and spring themed workshops, the little ones can learn about the Noongar six seasons, make their own terrarium mini-garden, get up close to some garden critters and much more.

Tickets will be available from 12pm , Friday 13 September. 

Workshops:

Flower Crowns
Become king or queen of the garden by making your very own wearable flower crown!

Terrarium Mini-Gardens
Make and take home your own terrarium mini garden that can live indoors.

Rock Bugs
Get creative and create your own pet rock bug to take home.

Noongar Six Seasons
Learn about the Noongar six seasons, our amazing plants, animals and how they provide bush tucker and medicine.

Seed Saving + Origami Seed Packets
Learn how to save seeds from mature plants like basil, sunflower and parsley, and create simple origami from recycled paper to make a neat little packet to store your seeds in. 

Sprout Heads
Create your own recycled egg carton garden; take it home and watch it sprout!

Insects and Bee Hotel
Meet a range of friendly insects and learn about the vital roles our critters play in the foods we love! Create and take home your own bee hotel to hang in the garden.


Tickets will be available from 12pm , Friday 13 September. Each booking (max 4 children per booking) can be redeemed for a $10 gift card for spend at your favourite city precincts upon arrival at your booked session.*
