Civic Visions | Council House 1954 - 1963
In 1960, Perth City Council held a national architectural competition for a new town hall and administration centre.
The result was Council House, designed by young Melbourne architects.
Find out how more than 60 firms competed for the opportunity to design every detail from the groundbreaking construction method to the furniture for what is now a Perth heritage icon.
Please note: exhibition not open public holidays.
The exhibition is also part of Open House Perth 2019 weekend, November 16 and 17.
