City of Perth Library
An architectural triumph the City of Perth’s Library provides residents, city workers, students, tourists and visitors with a huge selection of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, newspapers and DVDs.
So much more than just a library, the building covers 3,500 square metres and is revealed over seven levels.
It houses an enviable collection of ceiling artwork and also has bookable meeting rooms, including function spaces and an outdoor terrace, plus zones for young adults and families to enjoy.
It also has a host of online resources available.
The multi-level library is located next to the Perth Town Hall, fronting Hay Street and is accessible from St Georges Terrace via the Cathedral Square Precinct. It is the first major civic building to be constructed since the Perth Concert Hall was built nearly 45 years ago.
Conveniently located in the heart of the city, the Library provides a true sense of place, with opportunities for community interaction as well as quiet and reflective spaces.
