3) The Winter Village

The Winter Village is free to enter and features daily snow showers and an ice-skating rink – a perfect school holiday activity! You can also book in a private igloo dining experience to round off the day with some delicious eats! 

4) Girls School Cinema

Location: Girls School

Dates: 3 – 24 July

Girls School Cinema has made a return and will be the perfect winter outing for the kids. Whether they're wanting back-to-back Disney movies or if the tweens want the latest Japanese anime film, you will find there's something for everyone. Check out their latest blockbusters and retro favourites through their showings here. You’ll be sorted in terms of snacks at Girls School Cinema with their melts menu, featuring a range of gourmet toasted sandwiches as well as a candy bar where you can grab all the sweet and savouries you need.

Due to previous lockdown restrictions, Girls School Cinema will be re-opening on Tuesday 7 July.

5) Scitech 

Location: West Perth

Scitech is a perfect rainy day activity that’ll keep young minds active! Scitech sparks questions in all minds through playful science, technology, engineering and mathematics experiences. They’ve been around since 1988, fuelling the curiosity and igniting the ideas that’ll forge the communities and workplaces of the future.

While you’re in West Perth, there’s loads on options to take the kids for a bite. Try Gordon Street Garage for their delicious coffees and lunch menu.

6) WA Museum Boola Bardip

Location: Northbridge

An easy favourite to fill out any school holiday calendar is taking the kids to WA Museum Boola Bardip. Bring the whole family and explore our State’s rich cultural and natural heritage through three major themes – being Western Australian, Discovering Western Australia and Exploring the World. The Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors and Heroes exhibit from the British Museum will be around this winter, grab tickets here!  

Just a five minute walk away, you’ll find Superstar Waffles. Tuck into some hot waffles and top it with whatever you’d like. There’s no better way to end a day of fun than with a sweet treat!

7) Matagarup Zip + Climb 

Location: Optus Stadium

Matagarup Zip + Climb will be the one of the hottest destinations to take your kids these school holidays! The kids will be sure to have an experience of a lifetime when climbing the landmark Matagarup Bridge. There's 314 steps all on a 45-degree angle for the whole gang to and shimmy, slide and squeeze through tight spaces to reach the skyview deck – a stunning open-air viewing platform 72 metres above the swan river. You can also zip 400 metres over the Swan River from the top of the bridge! Definitely a must to experience Perth like never before!

8) The Perth Mint

Location: East Perth 

Visit the Perth Mint for a glittering and interactive journey into gold! See the world record one tonne coin made of pure gold and worth over $90 million, and witness the magic of a live gold pour. Plus kids can take part in The Perth Mint Challenge quiz and receive a medal at the end. There’s plenty to see and do at the Perth Mint and it's easy to get to from the mall on the red CAT – simply get off at The Perth Mint CAT stop.

Finish off the day by going to the Grosvenor Hotel for some delicious pub-grub with a menu that has something for everyone’s tastebuds. The kids menu features all the classics like fish and chips, margherita pizza and spag bol!

9) Holey Moley

Location: Northbridge 

Get your competitive streak out and enjoy a round of mini golf with the entire family! Holey Moley isn't like any other mini golf in Perth, it's a mini golf course that turns traditional putt putt into a multi-sensory labyrinth of unique holes. Take the kids to Hogwarts and shoot some pars with Harry Putter, but not without passing by Bikini Bottom to say hi to everyone’s favourite under-the-sea sponge... 10) Lumber Punks

Axe throwing - yes it is a thing - and no, it isn’t just for lumberjacks. Lumber Punks is urban indoor axe throwing, where you and your group get taught how to throw axes by experts in their multiple daily sessions. This is a totally unique experience your kids will be talking about for weeks! Available for ages 14+ accompanied by a parent.

Take a wander down a few streets and you’ll find Cravings Café. Serving the usual suspects from breakfast all day then starting off a range of lunch items at 11am, you’ll be spoiled for choice!
