FRINGE Kids

FRINGE WORLD have got an awesome program of free and ticketed Children’s events starting on 18 January ‘til the end of the school holidays, as well as tonnes of music, comedy, circus and theatre shows suitable for all ages throughout the entire Festival.

The Woodside Pleasure Garden is the place to be from 1pm, with free outdoor activities, cool picnic spots and plenty of delicious cold drinks and eats available for purchase from our amazing vendors. It’s the perfect experience for the Summer holidays for both kids and parents!

Twilight Hawkers Market + FRINGE Fridays

25 January, available from 4.30pm

Be enthralled by buskers while you dine on some of the best food from Perth's original and biggest street food market at the Twilight Hawkers Market.

Check it out every Friday at the Forrest Place stage from 4.30pm.

Fringe Fridays are free to attend, but performers always hat at the end. This is your chance to show your appreciation for what you have just watched or been a part of. 

Lotterywest Entertainment Zone at Skyworks

This Australia Day, Langley Park is THE place to be, with family fun galore in the free Lotterywest Entertainment Zone plus Perth’s best views of the fireworks show. Here’s what you can find in the Lotterywest Entertainment Zone from 3.00pm:

Carnival Land | 3.00pm to 7.45pm
There’s fun for all ages and adrenaline levels in Carnival Land. Experience the Tumbler, bumper boats, bouncy castles and more. 

Water Playground |3PM to 7.45PM
Soak up the fun at the coolest place to be this Australia Day with all kinds of wet and wild amusements, including the huge Monster Challenge!

Sports and Challenge Zone| 3.00pm to 7.45pm
Let your inner athlete shine and challenge your friends and family to obstacle courses and skill games. Have a game of bubble soccer or attempt the Spider Mountain.

Family Fun | 3.00pm to 7.45pm
Unleash your creative side and contribute to the colourful community art mural or take a trip back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth in the Dinosaur Park.

Freestyle Motocross and BMX | 3.30pm – 7.00pm
The best of Australia’s extreme action talent perform amazing backflips, mind blowing stunts and crazy tricks.
BMX: 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm
Motocross: 4.00pm, 5.00pm, 6.00pm and 7.00pm 

Youth Zone | 3pm to 7.45pm
Skateboarding WA: Strap on some knee pads and head over to the temporary skate park for free skateboarding clinics, lessons, competitions and more! Run by Skateboarding WA, there is something for all ages and skill levels including demonstrations by some of Perth’s best and most experienced skaters.

Aussie Play Day

27 January, 11.30am - 3.30am 

Visit Cathedral Square Lawn for a FREE day of multi-cultural family fun featuring craft activities, roving performers and live music. 

Explore the community village and get creative in cubby house themed to nations from around the globe. Children can also interact and learn from international dancers from Australia, Japan, India and New Zealand.

City of Perth Festival of Sail

27 Jan - 2 Feb, 10am - 5pm daily

For the third year running, the City of Perth Festival of Sail is back with an exciting program of events.

The main attraction of the 2019 City of Perth Festival is the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta – which will be held from the Monday through to the Friday of the festival, sailed in Perth Waters, right outside Elizabeth Quay.

The start of the City of Perth Festival of Sail will see two days of free ‘try sailing’ for children and adults out of Elizabeth Quay. This experience was provided in September 2017 & 2018 at the Club Marine Perth International Boat Show and it was a huge success! The Festival of Sail can’t wait to give even more members of the general public and opportunity to try sailing!
