If you want something soulful and modern then rising star WILSN is for you. Maybe you just want to party while the nights are still warm then Trixie Mattel and Peking Duk have you covered.

The singer, drag queen and larger-than-life personality is gracing the stage at Rechabite with a show that will be all-encompassing the brilliance of a pink wonderland. There will a little dancing, some singing and her favourite sonic tastes to create an unforgettable night. Along with for pinktastic event will be a gaggle of local drag artists to mesmerise. Check out Triple J Unearthed ‘Artist of The Year’ nominee and homegrown band South Summit are developing their live music chops with a gig at the illustrious Slim’s. The group who formed during the 2020 lockdowns have been solidly touring in the last year, making appearances in local shows and national festivals. Their laidback indie, reggae, alternative rock sound is hard to defined but easy to fall for. If you like your Oceans Alley, Spacey Jane and Lime Cordiale then you’ll vibe with their tunes including new single “Just Like You”.

There is no one in Australia who throws a party like Peking Duk. Having seen them several times over the years, each show is a sensory overload, brimming with good vibes. Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles will be doing it all again this year showcasing a decade of consecutive bangers, including ARIA award winning, single ‘High’ and triple platinum anthem ‘Stranger’ ft. Swedish artist Elliphant. Until recently they have been working on solo projects but are now back with new tunes, including the hit ‘Spend It’ featuring Circa Waves. Get ready to witness an up and coming musical powerhouse in action as WILSN celebrates the release of her album, Those Days Are Over at the iconic Bird. She’s a delicious mixture of Amy Winehouse songwriting, Corrine Baily Rae musicality and the soulful depth of Meg Mac. Her music is Motown inspired and her smooth style has won her a number of fans with songs like “Tell Me” and “Hurts So Bad”, a duet with Teskey Brothers’ frontman Josh Teskey. Her new album is great presentation of an old school genre presented in a fresh way. Check her out at this intimate gig before she hits the big time.

Sick of your job? Dramas at home? Despite all your rage do you still feel like a rat in a cage? Or do you just like your hardcore punk with a lashing of thrash loud and fierce? Then UK’s Rat Cage is going to tick all your boxes. The Sheffield band are touring Australia and will be claiming the stage at Lynott’s Lounge for a set of blistering music. They’re unpolished, organic and gritty take on punk will keep you enthralled if not for their intense shows. It’s their first time in Perth so expect a lot of energy especially since they’ll be bring along Melbourne band PUNTER for the ride.
